The wait is finally over. Jimmy Kimmel returns to late-night TV tonight, ending his summer-long vacation and absence from Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

It was the second consecutive year that Kimmel took off for the summer. The seasonal hiatus was part of the new contract the host signed with ABC back in 2019.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! remained in good hands, however. In addition to Guillermo, the show ran under the leadership of a rotating cast of guest hosts.

Maren Morris, Anthony Anderson, Julie Bowen, David Spade, and Sarah Silverman were among those who added “late-night TV host” to their resumes.

But Kimmel returns on Tuesday night as ABC and the rest of the entertainment industry gears up for the fall season. Fans can expect some of their favorite stars to pop up on late-night TV over the coming weeks.

Who’s on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight?

First up, Jimmy Kimmel will interview Tiffany Haddish. The comedian and actress had one of the most memorable late-night TV appearances in recent memory when she told Kimmel all about her adventures with Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Groupon back in 2017.

Haddish will promote her role in the upcoming crime drama The Card Counter. Starring Oscar Issac, the film releases on Sept. 10.

Then, legendary television producer and writer David Chase joins the show. He’ll talk about his Sopranos prequel, The Many Saints of Newark, hitting theaters on Oct. 1.

Tonight’s musical guest is Imagine Dragons. The band released its album Mercury — Act 1 on Sept. 3.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC. Sign up with FuboTV to stream the show and more from ABC.
