This week marks the final stretch of July. Late night TV fans hope to close things out with a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Stephen Colbert spent last week monitoring the spike in COVID-19 cases around the country as well as Republicans’ response to the Jan. 6 investigation. It was a big week, to say the least but The Late Show proved once again why it deserved all those Emmy nominations.

Monday will be a much-deserved night of rest for Colbert and company. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the July 13 episode. Fans get another chance to see guests Richard Branson and Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton.

What to watch instead of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Typically, late night TV fans have more options than they know what to do with on any given night. Unfortunately, the schedule isn’t looking as full on Monday.

Over on NBC, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers will be pre-empted by Olympics coverage.

Fans know that Jimmy Kimmel remains on summer vacation while guest hosts run his show. But Jimmy Kimmel Live! will also be off tonight. The same goes for The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS.

So what can fans do? Well, there is always the Late Show YouTube channel to find recent interviews and monologues. On streaming, Paramount+ has content from Colbert.
