We are nearing the end of an era as Conan O’Brien prepares to end his career in late night television. Conan airs its final episodes this week as the longest-tenured host in late night steps back and prepares for what’s next.

O’Brien started with Late Night with Conan O’Brien in 1993 before infamously taking over The Tonight Show for a little over seven months. The comedian landed at TBS, where Conan has been since 2010.

Conan O’Brien may be walking away from late night TV, but he is by no means fading into the sunset. His podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” is still wildly popular and successful. And next, he’ll bring a new comedy/variety show to HBO Max.

Over the past few months, Conan has been looking back at the past decade-plus of sketches, remotes, and guest appearances. The final week features some of the show’s best guests of all time. Here’s who’s coming to Conan this week.

Conan’O’Briens final week of guests: Bill Hader

All week, expect people to shower Conan O’Brien with praise. From The Simpsons to Saturday Night LiveLate Night to Conan, O’Brien influenced an entire generation of comedians with his love of the absurd and the silly.

Bill Hader is definitely among those who can point to O’Brien as an inspiration. His visits to Conan proved they possess many of the same comedic instincts and tastes, so it’s fitting that Hader kicks off the week. Catch him on Monday, June 21.

Conan O’Brien’s final week of guests: Seth Rogen

There was a little mystery around who would be the guest on Tuesday night. Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, and others were options considering their history with Conan O’Brien.

In the end, it was announced that Seth Rogen would join the show. Like Hader, Rogen is part of a generation that came after O’Brien. The actor/writer/director also isn’t shy about sharing his thoughts on comedy and show business, so he will probably have plenty to say about Conan and his influence. Seth Rogen appears on Tuesday, June 22.

Conan O’Brien’s final week of guests: Dana Carvey

On Wednesday, June 23, Conan O’Brien reconnects with one of his comedy peers. Dana Carvey and Conan O’Brien first crossed paths at Saturday Night Live and have been friends ever since.

Fans may recall that last year, O’Brien and Carvey teamed up for a podcast miniseries. It demonstrated the incredible chemistry between the two. It’s also hard to think of another moment in recent memory where O’Brien sounded like he was having more fun than when he was riffing with Carvey. Expect to hear a lot of laughter out of Conan on Wednesday.

Conan O’Brien’s final week of guests: Jack Black

Conan ends on Thursday, June 24 with a special hour-long episode. Jack Black will be Conan O’Brien’s final guest.

Conan and company will want to end things with a lot of energy. There’s nobody in comedy better for that than Jack Black. He’s already a beloved performer and he’s found a new medium in TikTok.

Black started appearing on Late Night with Conan O’Brien over 20 years ago. He even pitched himself as a replacement for Andy Richter. Black also helped O’Brien celebrate his 10 year anniversary, so it’s clear that the late night host wants Black around in big moments.

O’Brien enjoys ending things with a musical number. It’s how he said goodbye to The Tonight Show and to the Basic Cable Band. Expect him and Jack Black to put on a show to close out Conan.
