Saturday Night Live season 46 ended about a month ago, with a stellar episode hosted by rising star Anya Taylor-Joy. The premiere date for season 47 hasn’t been set yet, but we probably have more than three months to wait.

SNL typically premieres at the very end of September or the beginning of October. When it does return, things are expected to look very different.

NBC typically airs re-runs on Saturday nights throughout the summer. More sketches are also available on YouTube and Peacock.

But if that’s not enough for you to get your SNL fix, here are the best six episodes from season 46 to re-watch this summer.

Saturday Night Live season 46 episode four: “Adele/H.E.R.

It was surprising news when Adele was announced as only the host and not the musical guest, but it turned out to be a great idea, because Adele was a terrific host. Fans got the best of both worlds too, because Adele still sang plenty of her hits in a very memorable sketch.

Saturday Night Live season 46 episode eight: “Timothée Chalamet/Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band

This episode has everything: musical comedy, celebrity impressions, strong topical humor, and one of the funniest commercial parodies of the season. Timothée Chalamet and Pete Davidson proved themselves to be quite the comedic team in this episode, and Ego Nwodim really shone as her new (and soon to be recurring) character, Dionne Warwick.

Saturday Night Live season 46 episode thirteen: “Regé-Jean Page/Bad Bunny

This may have been the strongest episode of the entire season. “Driver’s License” was adorable, “Mr. Chicken Legs Pageant” was delightfully weird, and Chloe Fineman’s Phoebe Dynevor impression in “Bridgerton Intimacy Coordinator” was spot-on. “The Job Interview” was one of the best pre-taped sketches of the season, and “Let’s Say Grace” was joyful from start to finish. Seriously, I can’t recommend this episode enough.

Saturday Night Live season 46 episode fourteen: “Nick Jonas

This episode has a wide variety of really well-written sketches and memorable moments. Kyle Mooney carrying around the “guy from Soul and the men of the cast singing the “Bachelor Party” song will go down as some of the most iconic moments from the season.

Saturday Night Live season 46 episode sixteen: “Daniel Kaluuya/St. Vincent

Just three weeks before winning Best Supporting Actor at the 93rd Academy Awards, Daniel Kaluuya returned to his sketch comedy roots on Saturday Night Live. He may be a respected dramatic actor these days, but on SNL he proved that he’s just as good at playing utterly ridiculous comedy characters.

Saturday Night Live season 46 episode twenty: “Anya Taylor-Joy/Lil Nas X

Anya Taylor-Joy ended season 46 on a high note with her terrific performance in this episode. As long as she continues to have a successful acting career, it’s safe to assume that she’ll be invited back to host SNL again soon.
