Bill Maher bounced back nicely from his COVID-19 diagnosis earlier this spring. Should fans expect another new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight?

Maher appeared to be more annoyed than anything when he tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The late night TV host didn’t dwell on it for long, opting instead to keep the focus on his job. It’s the kind of dedication Maher’s fans have come to expect from the comedian over the past 20 years.

It will be back to work on Friday night. There will be a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight.

As always, there are several topics in the news Maher should weigh in on. President Joe Biden’s trip to Great Britain, former President Donald Trump’s pants gaffe, and gridlock in the Senate are all on the table.

Who’s on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight?

Tonight, Bill Maher will interview astrophysicist Neill deGrasse Tyson. Tyson was slated to appear on the first episode of Real Time that was canceled following Maher’s COVID diagnosis.

Expect Tyson to answer any and all of Maher’s space questions, perhaps with a special focus on privatized space travel. Tyson will also promote his new book Cosmic Queries: StarTalk’s Guide to Who We Are, How We Got Here, and Where We’re Going.

The panel will feature film director and activist Rob Reiner. Fans can anticipate he’ll weigh in on the allegations of corruption against the Trump administration and share his thoughts on the state of the GOP.

Political scientist Rachel Bitecofer will also join the panel. She’s an expert on elections and a co-founder of Strike PAC. She’ll share her efforts to preserve democracy and protect elections.

Real Time with Bill Maher airs at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO. You can also watch Real Time on HBO Max.
