Is Real Time with Bill Maher new tonight, June 4?
By Matt Moore
After a brief hiatus, Real Time with Bill Maher returned last week. Will tonight make it back-to-back weeks with new episodes?
Maher returned just as sharp as ever following his COVID-19 diagnosis. The Real Time host reported no symptoms and generally seemed to want to move on from the topic and get back to covering the news.
Expect more of that tonight. There will be a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight on HBO.
There are a number of stories that Maher could discuss at the top of the show. Former President Donald Trump reportedly thinks he’ll be reinstated, the release of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s emails, and vaccine rates are all on the table.
Who’s on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight?
Tonight’s interview guest features a first-time guest to Real Time with Bill Maher. Representative Ritchie Torres will join the show.
Rep. Torres represents New York’s 15th district. The 33-year-old Democrat stands out as the first openly gay Afro Latino elected to Congress. There’s a good chance that Maher will want to know about Torres’ experiences and perspective in government. Other topics that could come up include the filibuster, the failed attempt at a bipartisan investigation into the Capitol riot, and COVID relief bills.
Tonight’s panel features two guests familiar to Real Time audiences. Bill Maher will chat with a former politician and a political commentator.
John Kasich served as the Republican governor of Ohio for two terms and also had an unsuccessful bid for the White House. He’s known for his criticism of the GOP under Donald Trump’s leadership and can currently be seen as a contributor on CNN.
Chris Matthews hosted Hardball on MSNBC for two decades before abruptly leaving the program in 2020. Now, he’s releasing his memoir This Country: My Life in Politics and History.
Real Time with Bill Maher airs tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO. You can also watch Real Time on HBO Max.
