Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, May 15?
Following last week’s episode hosted by Elon Musk, Saturday Night Live is back with another new episode tonight at 11:30pm ET. This time the host will be first-timer Keegan-Michael Key.
Although this is Key’s hosting debut, he’s no stranger to sketch comedy – he made a name for himself writing and performing on Mad TV and Key and Peele.
These days, Key is more widely known for his film work in movies like The Prom, The Lion King (2019), and Dolemite is My Name, so it will be nice for fans to see him return to his sketch comedy roots on SNL.

Upcoming projects for tonight’s Saturday Night Live host and musical guest
Key’s biggest upcoming project is a new series for Apple TV+ called Schmigadoon! .The show is a musical comedy starring Key and SNL‘s own Cecily Strong, as two backpackers who somehow find themselves in a 1940s-style musical. Perhaps we’ll get to see the two of them perform together in a musical sketch as a sneak-preview of sorts for the new show.
Keegan-Michael Key will be joined by another SNL first-timer, musical guest Olivia Rodrigo. Rodrigo has lots to promote these days, as the second season of her hit Disney+ show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series premiered yesterday, and her debut album Sour will be released on May 21.
