By Matt Moore
After a week-long hiatus, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert can make a lot of fans happy by returning with a brand new episode tonight. What should late night fans expect to see tonight on CBS?
It wasn’t quite the same without Stephen Colbert last week. Audiences didn’t get to hear his take on a number of stories including Rudy Giuliani’s conspiracy theories, President Joe Biden’s vaccine rollout, and Caitlyn Jenner’s interview with Sean Hannity.
Hopefully, Colbert looks to make up for lost time on Monday. There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
You can expect Colbert to hit on a few of the topics he missed while he was away. Then, it will be on to today’s headlines and the guest lineup.
Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?
First, Stephen Colbert will interview CNN anchor Jake Tapper. In addition to hosting The Lead with Jake Tapper and State of the Union, Tapper is also an author.
His latest novel is The Devil May Dance, a sequel to his popular spy thriller The Hellfire Club. Expect Tapper and Colbert to talk about the state of American politics post-Trump before moving on to Tapper’s novel.
Then, singer Billie Eilish joins the show. Her album Happier Than Ever is due out on July 30. Her latest singles are “Therefore I Am” and “Your Power.”
