Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, May 8?

The calendar has flipped to May and Saturday Night Live fans know what that means. The end is near as season 46 is officially in the home stretch.
It has been nearly a month since SNL has aired a new episode. We last saw Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon, and the rest of the cast on April 10 alongside host Carey Mulligan.
Thankfully, the wait is over. There will be a brand new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight. Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk is the host. The musical guest will be Plastic Hearts singer Miley Cyrus. Check out Last Night On’s episode preview right here.
It should be an interesting episode to say the least. SNL has faced criticism from both the outside and inside for inviting Musk to the show. For her part, Cyrus has a history of memorable performances and just may steal the spotlight when it’s all said and done.
Keep an eye out for how SNL addresses the “controversy.” Elon Musk may reference it during his monologue. There’s also a good chance that he’ll be asked to play himself in a sketch that examines Musk’s public image and his equally passionate critics and fans.
How to watch Saturday Night Live
Say what you want about Elon Musk but there is no denying he has a strong following. Those supporters came to Musk’s defense when SNL was called out for naming the CEO as tonight’s host.
Musk’s popularity should give SNL help in the ratings. Some fans of the show have suggested they will skip out on tonight’s episode. But with only three left in season 46, fans can’t really afford to miss a week.
