Is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight, May 5?

It’s the halfway point of the week and late night TV fans are hoping a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will end Wednesday on a high note.
Stephen Colbert has been out of action so far this week, however. Monday and Tuesday did not feature a new episode of The Late Show.
Unfortunately, that trend will continue on Wednesday night. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
Instead, CBS will reair the April 22 episode. Fans will get another chance to see Colbert talk with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski as well as catch a performance by Bebe Rexha.
What to watch instead of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
If your late night TV fandom extends beyond The Late Show, then you’re in luck. There are plenty of other options on Wednesday.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be brand new on ABC. Rob McElhenney, Uzo Aduba, and Middle Kids are on the guest list.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon also has a fresh episode on Wednesday. The NBC show will welcome Channing Tatum, Josh Duhamel, and Joyelle Nicole Johnson.
Conan will also be new as it winds down its run on TBS. Friend of the show, comedian Flula Borg, will return.
