Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, May 1?

Saturday Night Live has been on a hiatus for over three weeks, leaving fans wondering if there will be a new episode. Is tonight the night that SNL finally returns?
Last time we saw a new SNL was back on April 10. Actress Carey Mulligan and rapper Kid Cudi both made their debuts as host and featured musical guest.
Unfortunately, there will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight. But fans won’t have to wait too long. The next new episode of Saturday Night Live will air next week on May 8. Given the controversy around the host pick, it should be a very interesting episode to watch.
Instead of airing a new episode, tonight NBC will re-air the season 40 episode from April 11, 2015 with host Taraji P. Henson with musical guest Mumford and Sons at 10:00 p.m. ET. Watch Nick Jonas serve as host and musical guest at 11:30 with a rerun of his episode from earlier this season.
