Who’s hosting Saturday Night Live tonight, April 3?
By Matt Moore
Saturday Night Live is back tonight with a brand new episode. Who will be the latest to add their name to the list of season 46 hosts?
After a month-long hiatus, SNL returned last week in a big way. Former cast member Maya Rudolph hosted for the second time. She revived her Emmy-winning impression of Vice President Maya Rudolph while showing why she’s one of the best sketch comedians in the business.
It is a pretty big act to follow but tonight’s host should be up to the challenge. Actor Daniel Kaluuya will make his Saturday Night Live debut as host. Check out our episode preview right here to find out why Kaluuya will crush it as tonight’s host.
Kaluuya burst onto the scene with roles in Get Out and Black Panther. He just picked up an Oscar nomination for his role in Judas and the Black Messiah.
But while Kaluuya is known for his dramatic roles, he does have a comedy background. He started off in improvisational theater before landing roles in Skins, Johnny English Reborn, and Kick-Ass 2. Kaluuya should have no problem blending in with SNL’s cast.
How to watch Saturday Night Live tonight
Daniel Kaluuya will join other first-time hosts like Bill Burr, Regina King, Dan Levy, and Issa Rae that have taken the stage this season. Based on his talent and background, there is reason to believe that Kaluuya could turn in the best performance out of all of the SNL rookies.
