Is Real Time with Bill Maher new tonight, April 2?

We have moved into April and on top of that, it’s Friday. Late night television fans are hoping that the month starts off with a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher.
There have been 10 episodes so far in season 19. Since it began back on Jan. 15, Bill Maher and company have only taken one week off. Fans have certainly appreciated the schedule because it means more of Maher’s signature commentary on the years-worth of news that has happened in just the past three months.
Unfortunately, this week will be the second one Maher takes off this season. There will not be a new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight.
Instead, HBO will reair the March 26 episode. If you missed it, you can catch Maher’s interview with cybersecurity expert Chris Krebs. The panel featured writer Caitlin Flanagan and journalist Bret Stephens.
What to watch instead of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight
It’s hard to find a comparable replacement for Real Time with Bill Maher. There just aren’t many shows like it on television, especially not in late night TV.
As it is, there aren’t many options at all when it comes to late night on Friday. With the Easter holiday around the corner, most shows have been off all week. That means no Late Show, Late Night, or The Daily Show.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! had been the only show airing new episodes all week. But as usual, the ABC show will be off on Friday.
