It’s the start of a brand new week and that means the potential for a brand new week of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. What should fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

Last week’s episodes were marked by Colbert’s ability to blend sincere commentary with his biting sense of humor. Serious moments such as his reaction to the Atlanta shootings were mixed in with punchlines about New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republicans.

Colbert hasn’t been seen since Thursday so there are a few things he’ll look to catch up on during tonight’s show. Topics such as President Joe Biden’s comments on Russian President Vladimir Putin, spring breakers in Flordia, and March Madness could all pop up in the monologue.

First, Stephen Colbert will interview Robert Downey, Jr. The actor was last seen on The Late Show during its post-Super Bowl special. Downey has been busy outside of acting, investing in electric motor company Turntide Technologies Inc. and launching the FootPrint Coalition, a venture fund seeking to support companies developing technology to address climate change.

Then, author Walter Isaacson joins the show. His latest book is The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing, and the Future of the Human Race, a biography of chemist Jennifer Doudna.

Tonight’s musical guest is Sebastián Yatra and Guaynaa. They recently released a new version of the song “Chica Ideal.”
