The Bachelor wrapped up one of its most dramatic seasons last night. Once again, Jimmy Kimmel Live! predicted the winner months before the reveal.
We say Jimmy Kimmel Live! predicted it but the truth is that Molly McNearney predicted who Matt James would pick. The co-head writer and Jimmy Kimmel’s wife added to her impressive streak that now stands at 9 of the last 12 Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons.
It was back on Jan. 5 when Kimmel interviewed Matt James about his Bachelor season. The interview ended with Kimmel revealing the final three women McNearney picked. And while James didn’t propose to anyone, he did walk away with Rachel just as McNearny predicted.
Monday night gave Kimmel the chance to celebrate his wife’s accomplishment and also say goodbye to another season of The Bachelor. Watch below to see Kimmel recap the season finale and all the sighs from After the Final Rose.
Jimmy Kimmel recaps the finale of The Bachelor season 25
You don’t hear any shock or surprise in Jimmy Kimmel’s voice as he reveals that The Bachelor did not have a fairy tale ending. The late night host jokes that it may be time to start questioning the sanctity of the entire show.
Kimmel also addressed the controversy surrounding Rachel Kirkconnell that also resulted in host Chris Harrison stepping away from the franchise. The bit suggests that Matt James only had to Google Kirkconnell to find out he’d made a mistake.
That mistake was confirmed during After the Final Rose. It was revealed that the couple remained separated and James was unwilling to reconcile. Kimmel was less interested in the drama and more curious about all the sighs that were let out on stage and during a pandemic, no less.
Molly McNearney will put her prediction streak on the line next with The Bachelorette. And with seasons 17 and 18 set to run back-to-back with Katie Thurston and Michelle Young, McNearney is facing quite the challenge. Stay tuned for her predictions.
