It’s Friday night and for late night television fans, that means it’s time for Real Time with Bill Maher. Is a new episode on deck tonight on HBO?

It was a historic week in American history as President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill was signed into law. That was followed up by President Biden’s national address promising that all adults will be eligible to get vaccinated by May 1.

Other late night hosts like Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, and Stephen Colbert had their chance to weigh in on that story and more today. Now it’s Bill Maher’s tun. There will be a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight.

In addition to the vaccine rollout and President Biden’s announcement, there are several other topics Maher could cover. The pandemic’s one-year anniversary, former President Donald Trump’s role in the Republican Party, and more are all on the table.

Who’s on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight?

Tonight, Bill Maher will interview author Annabell Gurwitch. Her latest book is the essay collection You’re Leaving When? Adventures in Downward Mobility. She also hosts the podcast “Tiny Victories” about finding happiness in small accomplishments.

Gurwitch and Maher could look at how the pandemic and economic instability have affected an entire generation and what the path forward for millions of Americans could look like.

Author and professor Scott Galloway will be on the panel. His book Post Corona: From Crisis to Opportunity discusses the risks and opportunities presented by the pandemic.

Comedian and writer Larry Wilmore is also on the panel. He hosts the podcast “Larry Wilmore: Black on the Air.” In Dec., he ended his late night show on Peacock but remains the executive producer of Insecure on HBO.  Wilmore is also a producer of the Netflix docuseries Amend: The Fight For America, a look at equal rights in the U.S. framed by the 14th Amendment.

Social conditions in the U.S. as we mark the one-year anniversary of the pandemic should be the overarching theme of tonight’s episode. Expect a thoughtful, insightful discussion from the jump.
