The Late Show with Stephen Colbert could cure the Monday blues with a brand new episode. What should late night TV fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

Some fans have expressed disappointment that Stephen Colbert has been off the past few Fridays. It means a longer wait between Late Show monologues, bits like “Quarantinewhile,” and some of the most engaging interviews in late night.

But it could just be a case of audiences being spoiled by late night’s top-rated show. After all, Colbert and his team are entitled to some time off during the year.

Fortunately for fans, it will be back to work for Colbert on Monday. There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

There is plenty to get to from the weekend. The Senate passed President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had a bombshell interview with Oprah, and more. Fans will be happy Colbert is back to start the week off right.

Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?

First, Stephen Colbert will talk with television host and author Nicolle Wallace. She served as the White House Communications Director under President George W. Bush and also worked on John McCain’s 2008 presidential election. She can now be seen on MSNBC where she is a vocal critic of former President Donald Trump.

On Wednesday, March 10, MSNBC will air an hour-long special edition of Wallace’s “Lives Well Lived” segment honoring COVID-19 victims. Expect her to preview it during her conversation with Colbert.

Then, actress Michaela Coel joins The Late Show. She is the creator, writer, producer, co-director, and star of the BBC/HBO drama I May Destroy You.

Fans were understandably upset when the show was shut out from the Golden Globes. But Coel’s appearance on The Late Show should help attract more viewers who may have missed out on I May Destroy You when it premiered last summer.

Tonight’s musical guest is Kings of Leon. The band released the album When You See Yourself on March 5.
