Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were thrown a curveball on Tuesday when two titles were announced for the next Spider-Man movie. Peter Parker himself Tom Holland then appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon but didn’t clear up any of the confusion.

On Instagram, Holland shared the first images from the Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel. It also included a title card indicating that it was titled Spider-Man: Phone Home.

But at the same time, his co-star Jacob Batalon also posted an image from the MCU movie. And according to Batalon, the title is Spider-Man: Homewrecker. Seeing Holland and Batalon at odds over the title could tie into rumors about where the relationship between their two characters is heading.

Fans were hoping to get some clarification from Tom Holland when he checked in with The Tonight Show on Tuesday. The actor was on to promote his new film Cherry but it’s impossible for him to go anywhere and not field questions about Spider-Man.

Holland didn’t offer any information on the movie’s title. But when asked about some of the mind-blowing cameos and casting rumored for the film, he did let out one minor tidbit about the movie: he won’t be the only Holland in it.

Tom Holland stays quiet about Spider-Man 3’s biggest rumors

It has taken some time but Tom Holland is getting pretty good at keeping Marvel’s secrets. So if Jamie Foxx, Tobey McGuire, and Andrew Garfield are in Spider-Man: Phone Home/Homewrecker/TBA, then Holland says it will be news to him.

Of course, it’s far too early for those appearances to be confirmed. But if you’ve been following the rumors and scoops online, then you know some pretty big things are planned for Spider-Man’s next adventure. Just don’t expect Tom Holland to be the one to let the cat out of the bag.

What Holland could confirm was that his younger brother Harry Holland will appear in the movie. It will be the younger Holland’s second appearance alongside his brother after a small part in Cherry directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.

Harry Holland has garnered quite the following online so there will be plenty of fans excited to see him pop up in the next Spider-Man movie. A positive reception will make all that time swinging upside-down behind his brother worth it.

The biggest reveal from Tom Holland’s interview with Jimmy Fallon was actually his legs. The actor showed off his official Zoom interview outfit which could make just as many headlines as a Spider-Man bombshell.
