Is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight, February 18?

The Late Show fans are hoping for a miracle tonight. After three nights of repeats, they’re hoping that Stephen Colbert returns with a brand new episode.

There are a number of stories making headlines that fans still want to hear Colbert discuss on The Late Show. We haven’t heard the late night host’s reaction to former President Donald Trump’s acquittal. And Senator Ted Cruz’s trip to Mexico during the crisis in Texas is something Colbert would typically be all over.

But fans probably already know the truth: there is no miracle coming. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the Jan. 8 episode. It features “The Colbert Questionert” interviews with actors George Clooney, Tom Hanks, and Meryl Streep. The segment includes 15 questions designed to reveal who the interview subject really is. The episode also features a performance by the Mountain Goats.

When will The Late Show with Stephen Colbert return?

Fans shouldn’t be too upset that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was off this week. The show’s quality certainly hasn’t wavered since 2021 began. In fact, the show remains on top of the late night ratings so Colbert and his staff certainly deserve a break.

It won’t be long before The Late Show returns, however. CBS has new episodes scheduled for next week beginning on Monday, Feb. 22.

In his first show back after a week off, Stephen Colbert will interview Bill Gates. The monologue should also be a must-watch event as Colbert catches up on all the stories it missed.
