Jimmy Kimmel Live! is back tonight with a brand new episode. And with most of late night TV off, Jimmy Kimmel will have an even bigger platform to share his thoughts.

Fans won’t get a new episode of shows like The Late ShowThe Tonight Show, or Late Night tonight. That has been the case all week, meaning Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been the go-to destination for jokes and reaction on the day’s news.

It’s a safe bet to say that a good portion of Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue tonight will be dedicated to Senator Ted Cruz. Sen. Cruz did himself no favors by going to Cancun, Mexico while Texas is in the grips of a winter weather disaster that has left thousands freezing and without power.

Sen. Cruz has since returned to Texas, claiming he was just escorting his daughters to Mexico for a trip with friends. Few people are buying that excuse including Kimmel. Given the long history between the comedian and the Senator, tonight’s monologue is a must-watch.

Who’s on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight?

Jimmy Kimmel Live! also has a solid lineup of guests on the schedule tonight. It is shaping up to be one of the best episodes of the week.

First, Kimmel will talk with actress Jodie Foster. Her latest film is The Mauritanian in which she plays a lawyer working on the case of Iraqi Mohamedou Ould Salahi who was detained at Guantanomo Bay without charge for 14 years. Expect Kimmel to also ask Foster about her thoughts on the new CBS drama Clarice based on Foster’s character from The Silence of the Lambs.

Then, Kimmel will check in with Kelly Marie Tran. The Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker star next appears as the voice of Raya in the Disney animated film Raya and the Last Dragon. It hits theaters on March 5.

Tonight’s musical guest is Black Pumas. Their debut self-titled album was released in 2019. The band released the single “Strangers” earlier this year.
