We’ve reached the end of another week and late night fans will be looking to close it out with The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. So what should they expect to see tonight on CBS?

It has been yet another busy week at The Late Show. Stephen Colbert’s monologues have tackled former President Donald Trump’s upcoming impeachment trial, the ongoing pandemic, and the negative attention on Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene for spreading conspiracy theories.

That’s a lot of stories to cover in just four days. So it may be a good thing that Colbert has the night off. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the show from Jan. 27. It gives fans another chance to catch Colbert’s interviews with comedian Billy Crystal and Representative Jackie Speier.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will be back sooner than normal

There is some good news for Late Show fans disappointed that there is not a new episode on Friday night. Stephen Colbert will be back sooner than normal thanks to a special edition of The Late Show.

Colbert will be live on Sunday night following Super Bowl LV. He’s already announced his guest lineup which includes two of Hollywood’s brightest stars and one legendary band.

The show will then be right back at on Monday night. On Feb. 8, Colbert is scheduled to be joined by The Equalizer star Queen Latifah and former The Walking Dead actor and Minari star Steven Yeun.
