Olivia Rodrigo debuts Drivers License live tonight on The Tonight Show

Get ready for a special music event tonight on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo will perform her hit single “drivers license” live for the first time.
It can’t be overstated just how quickly Rodrigo took over the music world with “drivers license.” The star of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series released the song on Jan. 8. By the end of its first week, it had broke Spotify records for the most daily streams…twice. It debuted at number on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard has called the platinum record one of the “most dominant number 1’s of the past 30 years.”
It has been a whirlwind experience for Rodrigo. Her fanbase has rapidly expanded while the song continues to grow and find success around the world.
Those fans are in for something special tonight on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Rodrigo will perform the song live for the first time. With the music video for “drivers license” already nearing 100 million views on YouTube in just under a month, a massive amount of fans is expected to tune in.
The Tonight Show has already started a countdown for the performance and shared the YouTube link. You can see it below and note the 12:20 A.M. premiere time.
Olivia Rodrigo’s Driver’s License was covered by Jimmy Fallon and The Roots
The Tonight Show counts itself among Olivia Rodrigo’s fans (know as the “Livies”) and they have the video to prove it. A couple of weeks ago, Jimmy Fallon was joined by members of The Roots for a TikTok Sea Shanty version of “drivers license”.
If anything the cover version proves just how popular the song has become in a relatively short amount of time. Fallon will probably be more than happy to see Olivia Rodrigo perform the song as it was intended tonight.
