The Late Show with Stephen Colbert announces Super Bowl show lineup

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will be live following Super Bowl LV on CBS. We now know who will be joining Stephen Colbert for the special event.
Actor Robert Downey, Jr., actress Tiffany Haddish, and band Metallica have been announced as appearing on the show Sunday. Feb. 7. It will be the third time The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has been live after a Super Bowl.
It will be Downey Jr.’s first appearance as a guest on The Late Show. The actor has a few projects due out in 2021 including the comedy All-Star Weekend and a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Black Widow and the animated series What If…? coming to Disney+.
Tiffany Haddish was last on The Late Show in 2019. She’s also scheduled to appear on the Feb. 4 episode, meaning she’ll be pulling double duty for Stephen Colbert. Her next project is the Apple TV+ series The Afterparty. It was also announced that Haddish will continue to host Kids Say the Darndest Things as it moves from ABC to CBS.
Metallica will also be making its Late Show debut. The legendary metal band is reportedly working on its 11th studio album.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert live shows have always been a hit
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert gets another chance to show off by going live after Super Bowl LV between the Tampa Bay Bucaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs. The show has demonstrated time and time again that it can put together a solid, entertaining show in a snap.
Fans have been treated to live shows following presidential debates, the election, and President Joe Biden’s inauguration in recent months. But it’s not just politics that bring out the best of The Late Show.
