Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight, January 12?

Who’s on tonight’s brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert?

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is back tonight with another brand new episode. Tonight’s top guest is one that is sure to garner a lot of attention.

Stephen Colbert’s monologue on Monday night addressed all the developments from the attack on the Capitol. The Late Show host admitted that he may have misjudged the event despite calling it the most upset he’s ever been. The more information that came out about the riot, the more angry Colbert became.

Colbert directed much of that fury at President Donald Trump. Expect more of the same tonight during his monologue and during the guest interview.

Tonight’s featured guest on The Late Show is James Comey. The former FBI Director was at the center of the 2016 presidential election following his decision to investigate former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton over her emails while serving as Secretary of State.

Comey was fired by President Trump in 2017 amidst the Russian investigation. In 2018, Comey published his book A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership. Tonight, Colbert should ask Comey about the riot at the Capitol, the response by law enforcement and the Trump administration, and what the FBI should be doing about the possibility of more violence this week.

Then, Colbert will change gears and chat with actress Lili Reinhart. The fifth season of her CW series Riverdale is set to premiere on Jan. 21. Reinhart should provide fans with some insight on what to expect this season for her character Betty Cooper.
