Jimmy Kimmel’s best superhero moments: The Terrific Ten

If the interviews with the Avengers or the sketches with Batman and Superman weren’t enough to convince someone of Jimmy Kimmel’s superhero credentials, then “The Terrific Ten” should do the trick. For the comedian’s 50th birthday special, his Hollywood friends brought to life Kimmel’s very own team of superheroes.

Comic book fans can certainly relate to drawing heroes as a kid or trying to come up with the next Spider-Man or Flash. Clearly, a very young Kimmel was overflowing with character ideas as he came up with The Terrific Ten featuring heroes like Muscle Man, Lucky Lad, and Super Sal.

Director J.J. Abrams jumped at the chance to direct the live-action version and fans finally saw Ben Affleck square off against Matt Damon. Supporting roles from Jon Hamm, Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, and Zach Galifianakis helped round out the best superhero cast outside of Avengers: Endgame.

Again, this sketch is a great example of Jimmy Kimmel Live! willing to spare no expense when it comes to superhero content. Getting that many popular actors to participate in the gag also shows how well-liked Kimmel is in the entertainment industry. Or how eager his friends were to embarrass him.
