From the Avengers to Justice League, superheroes have always had a home at Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Late night television hosts all have their own special hobby or interest that they frequently share with fans. For Stephen Colbert, it’s fantasy literature. For Conan O’Brien, it’s history. And for Jimmy Kimmel, it’s superheroes.

Kimmel has not been shy about confessing his love for comic books and superheroes, even if he thinks it made him a nerd growing up. If anything, it’s made the comedian one of the most well-prepared interviewers on television as the stars of Marvel and DC films sit down on Jimmy Kimmel Live! seemingly every few months.

It also means that Jimmy Kimmel Live! is the best place for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to debut a new trailer or send the full cast of a movie for a fun night of promotion. DC Extended Universe stars like Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck, and Jason Momoa have also stopped by the ABC show.

With that in mind, let’s count down the five best superhero moments from Jimmy Kimmel. Be sure to let us know which moment was your favorite.

Jimmy Kimmel’s best superhero moments: Avengers Mean Tweets

Jimmy Kimmel Live! is credited for making “mean tweets” go mainstream. Jimmy Kimmel’s attempt to highlight just how nasty people can be on social media has taken on a life of its own and become one of the show’s signature segments.

Special editions of “Mean Tweets” are especially popular. NBA players, country music stars, and President Barack Obama are among those who received their own installment of “Mean Tweets.”

To celebrate the release of Avengers: Infinity War in 2018, Kimmel put together an Avengers edition of “Mean Tweets” featuring Anthony Mackie, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Pratt.

But it was probably the reaction by Chris Evans, AKA Captain America and the First Avenger, that put this one over the top. MCU fans love a good Chris Evans laughing clip and his response to be compared to a hunk of sh– really tickled the actor.
