When a major story breaks in Washington, D.C., the first place late night TV fans think to go is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. So what should fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

Earlier today, the Senate finally approved a pandemic stimulus bill. As expected, it was met with criticism from both sides and especially among some Democrats who think it doesn’t go far enough in providing relief.

The bill is something that would definitely lead off Stephen Colbert’s monologue. Unfortunately, there will not be a new episode of The Late Show tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the Dec. 9 episode. Colbert talked with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow and then with rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
