What should The Late Show with Stephen Colbert fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

It’s Election Eve and the start of a week that will change the course of American history one way or another. How is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert marking the occasion?

The Late Show has been on top of the election since the primaries, delivering commentary and punchlines at the expense of Democratic candidates and of course President Donald Trump.

A part of Stephen Colbert probably didn’t expect Donald Trump to make it through all four years of his first term. But if nothing else, President Trump has defied any expectations placed on him and exemplified the “expect the unexpected” philosophy.

Expect Colbert to try to sum up the past four years and put what is at stake into perspective one more time tonight. There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show.

Colbert’s guest will be his fellow late night host and former Daily Show correspondent John Oliver. Last night on Last Week Tonight, Oliver delivered his final assessment of President Trump when it comes to the pandemic. Expect him to revisit some of these points with Colbert as the two try to make sense of everything going on and play out all potential results of Tuesday’s election.

The show ends with a musical performance by JoJo. The singer’s album December Baby was released on Oct. 30.
