What should The Late Show with Stephen Colbert fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

We are in the final stretch before the Nov. 3 election. And just like four years ago, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is the place to go to offset some of the tension and anxiety as we wait for that day to arrive.

The Late Show has been the late night leader when it comes to election coverage, dating back to the Democratic primaries. The show took a look back at the 2020 election on Friday with a special edition of the show hosted by Sam Waterston.

We know where the candidates stand and the number of undecided voters is relatively low. But that won’t stop President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden from making their final pushes for the White House. And it certainly won’t stop Stephen Colbert from doing what he does best.

That should certainly be on display tonight. There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show on CBS.

The first guest is someone who has unexpectedly found himself playing a role in the 2020 election. Sacha Baron Cohen will be on the show. His sequel to Borat found President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani in a compromising position while also exposing conspiracy theorists, racism, and pandemic skeptics.

It’s not clear if Baron will appear on The Late Show as himself or in character. Last week on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, it was Borat and his daughter Tutar that showed up. Stay tuned.

Musician Jeff Tweedy will then join the show. His latest album is Love Is the King.
