What should The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon fans expect to see tonight on NBC?

After a controversial night of television, NBC will be looking to keep the past in the past and move forward. There seems like no better time for a brand new episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

NBC faced a lot of backlash for agreeing to air a town hall with President Donald Trump that was in direct competition with former Vice President Joe Biden’s event on ABC. Critics argued that President Trump should not have been rewarded for backing out of the second presidential debate only to be given the spotlight on the same night as Vice President Biden.

The Tonight Show was not there to save NBC later in the night. Jimmy Fallon and his team have been off all week.

Is The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon new tonight?

As you may have guessed, the schedule won’t change on a Friday night. There will not be a new episode of The Tonight Show.

NBC will instead air an encore presentation of the Sept. 18 episode. Fans can rewatch Fallon’s interview with actress Jessica Alba and his chat with Fargo actor Jack Huston. The show closed out with a performance by Keith Urban.

Like the other late-night shows, Fallon has big plans for next week. So if you can bear to wait just a little longer, The Tonight Show will return.
