What should The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon fans expect to see tonight on NBC?
NBC has quickly found itself at the center of a media firestorm for its programming choices tonight. It’s something that even a new episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon couldn’t patch over.
The network has received severe criticism for agreeing to broadcast a town hall featuring President Donald Trump at the same time former Vice President Joe Biden is doing the same on ABC. It’s only happening because President Trump backed out of a proposed virtual debate and is now looking to take the spotlight away from Vice President Biden.
NBC could win over some viewers by following up the debate with an episode of The Tonight Show. The problem is that Jimmy Fallon has been off all week up to this point.
Is The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon new tonight?
Fallon’s schedule won’t change tonight. There will not be a new episode of The Tonight Show, meaning NBC has no way to change the vibe after President Trump’s town hall.
The network will instead reair the Oct. 8 episode. Fans can revisit Fallon’s interviews with Eddie Redmayne and Guy Raz. There is also a performance by Lele Pons x Guaynaa.
