What should The Late Show with Stephen Colbert fans expect to see tonight on CBS?
You’ve probably noticed that things have been pretty quiet in late-night television this week. That can happen when The Late Show with Stephen Colbert takes the first two nights off.
The Late Show hasn’t been seen since last week, leaving fans in the dark when it comes to Stephen Colbert’s thoughts on the day’s news. The Supreme Court nomination hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett and President Donald Trump’s rallies are just two of the topics viewers would want to hear Colbert discuss.
Instead, it has been Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah that have been carrying the late-night load so far this week.
Is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight?
That won’t change tonight. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
CBS will reair the Sept. 30 episode. Fans can rewatch Colbert’s interview with actor and author John Lithgow as well as journalist John Dickerson.
Like other late-night shows, Colbert should get a bump in ratings when he does come back thanks to the election. With just a few weeks until the vote, all eyes will be on Colbert to see how he covers the final countdown in the race for the White House. Let’s just hope we’re not waiting too much longer.
