What should Saturday Night Live fans expect to see tonight on NBC?

After another long week in late-night television, it’s finally Saturday night. So what does that mean for Saturday Night Live fans?

It means a brand new episode. Bill Burr is your host and Jack White is the musical guest, replacing Morgan Wallen who was dismissed for violating COVID-19 safety protocols.

Last week, SNL started season 46 off on an interesting note. Jim Carrey debuted as former Vice President Joe Biden, Maya Rudolph returned as Senator Kamala Harris, and Chris Rock delivered a poignant monologue.

On top of all that, SNL put on a show in front of a live studio audience for the first time since March. Strict COVID-19 safety precautions were put in place and the show had to jump through a few hoops to get a studio audience.

Ultimately, it added up to a show that was an impressive accomplishment even if not every sketch landed. The episode was the most-watch SNL season premiere in four years. Burr will try to keep that momentum going tonight with some help from Rudolph and the SNL cast.
