What should Jimmy Kimmel Live! fans expect to see tonight on ABC?

Jimmy Kimmel made his return to television after taking the summer off, hosting the Primetime Emmy Awards. Is that a sign of good things to come for Jimmy Kimmel Live! fans?

The summer of guest hosts on Jimmy Kimmel Live! ended two weeks ago with Samuel L. Jackson. Kimmel took last week off to make his final preparations for hosting the largely virtual Emmy Awards last night.

It was a major event that came with a lot of pressure but Kimmel showed no signs of rust in his return to television. Fans will get to see if that’s true for hosting his regular late-night gig tonight. Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be brand new.

Expect Kimmel to give his viewers a recap of last night’s Emmys and what it was like for him and his staff to run the show. Then it will be business as usual with an interview and musical performance.

Kimmel’s guest is NBA Hall of Famer and TNT analyst Charles Barkley. Barkley will give his unique perspective on the NBA’s final four teams: the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets, and Los Angles Lakers.

The show will wrap up with a musical performance by The Chicks. The band’s eighth studio album Gaslighter was released earlier this year.
