What should fans of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert expect to see tonight on CBS?

Late-night television got a jolt of energy last night. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert returned after a week off. Audiences will be happy to know that momentum continues tonight.

Stephen Colbert made up for lost time in a big way thanks to his interview with Rage author Bob Woodward. The Late Show was off while the rest of late-night was reacting to the bombshell tapes from Woodward in which President Donald Trump admitted to downplaying the severity of COVID-19.

Tonight, Colbert will interview singer and actress Janelle Monae. She will be promoting her role in the film Antebellum, due to be released via video on demand on Sept. 18.

Next, journalist Jacob Soboroff joins Colbert. He’s a correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC. He should provide even more insight into President Trump’s recent actions and what it means for the upcoming election.
