It seems like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert picked the wrong few days to take off. Late-night television has had plenty to talk about the past few nights.
It is a week in which President Donald Trump was dealt another major blow to his credibility with the release of tapes from journalist Bob Woodward. The Rage author recorded President Trump admitting to downplaying the severity of COVID-19. Late-night hosts like Trevor Noah, Jimmy Fallon, and Seth Meyers made sure to pile on the president in the wake of the news.
When bad news breaks for President Trump, fans typically turn to Stephen Colbert. However, the CBS late-night show has been missing since last week.
Is The Late Show new tonight, September 11 on CBS?
As you probably guessed, The Late Show is not making its return tonight. Fans will have to wait until Monday for Stephen Colbert to come back.

Fans won’t be left completely in the dark, however. CBS will reair the Aug. 26 episode in which Colbert interviewed Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. The show also features a performance by musician Lucinda Williams.
