Jimmy Kimmel Live! guest host we want to see: David Spade

David Spade is an old reliable when it comes to late-night television. Whether you need him as a guest or a host, you can be confident that the comedian will deliver.

Spade would make an excellent choice to guest host Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a number of reasons. His Comedy Central show Lights Out with David Spade was not renewed in what was a poor decision by the network. Reports were that the show was being shopped around so it’s unclear if Spade has any restrictions on where he can appear. But if he is free to go anywhere, Kimmel should be the place.

And even with Lights Out on the shelf, Spade has been staying sharp. His YouTube channel features daily monologues meaning he could step right into guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! and be ready to go. He could bring with him plenty of jokes about The Bachelor, Britney Spears, and everything else going on in pop culture, giving late-night a break from politics for one night.

It also wouldn’t be the first time as a guest host for Spade. He did a fantastic job a few years ago when he filled in for Kimmel, even if director Guy Ritchie wasn’t eager to play ball. If Spade is given the chance to pick his own interview guest, it would be a nice way to put the Ritchie interview in the past.
