Here’s who fans will want to see on Late Night with Seth Meyers this week

As we start the final week of July, late night television fans will notice that several shows are off. Thankfully, Late Night with Seth Meyers has a week of new shows and a guest lineup that more than makes up for it.

Shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live! The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Conan are off this week. Late Night‘s NBC partner The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will be new and also boasts an impressive list of guests this week.

Seth Meyers and his writers will no doubt be busy over the next few days. Between daily press briefings and ramping up his re-election campaign, President Donald Trump is sure to get in front of a microphone or two. And when he does, you can almost guarantee the footage will show up in “A Closer Look.”

So while many fans will come for Meyers’ commentary on the president, they’ll want to stay for the guest interviews. Here are Last Night On’s picks for the three guests to watch this week.

Late Night with Seth Meyers guest to watch: Senator Kamala Harris

Could Seth Meyers be interviewing the next vice president of the United States? It’s possible when Senator Kamala Harris joins the show on Monday, July 27.

Senator Harris made headlines during the Democratic debates for her attacks on former Vice President Joe Biden. Now it looks as if the California senator is the favorite to join Biden’s ticket in the Nov. election.

Senator Harris has been on a media tour lately that suggests she wants the job. She’s made recent appearances on The Late Show and Watch What Happens Live as well as a virtual event with comedian/social media star Sarah Cooper.

On Late Night, Meyers is almost certain to ask Senator Harris about her political future. Don’t expect any major revelation but instead a statement of support for Joe Biden. Other than that, Meyers may want to discuss the Senate’s plan for financial relief for Americans and the federal government’s response to the pandemic.

Late Night with Seth Meyers guest to watch: Cameron Diaz

Retired actress Cameron Diaz joins Late Night to discuss her latest venture. Fans can see her conversation with Seth Meyers on Tuesday, July 28.

Diaz’s film career began with a breakout role in The Mask in 1994. 20 years later, Diaz effectively retired from acting after appearing in 2014’s Annie. But since then, Diaz has kept busy with her family, as an author, and now a winemaker.

Earlier this month, Diaz launched the wine brand Avaline along with co-founder Katherine Power. The rose and white blend, made from organic grapes, are vegan and without added sugars.

Expect Meyers to ask Diaz how she became involved in winemaking and why she chose it as her latest passion. Fans will likely also be able to tell if Diaz has any interest in returning to acting in the near future based on her chat with Meyers.

Late Night with Seth Meyers wraps up its week with Sean Hayes. The actor is a guest on the Thursday, July 30 show.

Hayes isn’t out promoting a movie or television series, however. He recently launched “Smartless,” a podcast he co-hosts with Jason Bateman and Will Arnett. The first two episodes have featured Dax Shepard and Neil deGrasse Tyson as guests.

Hayes is also coming off a turn as guest host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he interviewed Bateman about “Smartless.” On Late Night, fans should hear more from Hayes about how the podcast came together and the dynamic among Hayes, Bateman, and Arnett.
