The stars of Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga come to late night this week

Late night television has long been the best way to promote a new movie. And with the pandemic limiting public events, that is especially true right now. The stars of Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga are set to see it first-hand this week.

Eurovision Song Contest arrives on Netflix on June 26. It’s directed by Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin and stars Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams. The comedy is set during the annual Eurovision Song Contest that has been held every year since 1965 with the exception of the 2020 event.

Co-starring with Ferrell and McAdams are Pierce Brosnan, Demi Lovato, Dan Stevens, and late night television/Eurosong host Graham Norton. Ferrell appeared on The Graham Norton Show back in May but it would have been nice to get an in-studio show with Ferrell, McAdams, and Norton all getting together.

Instead, late night fans will get a chance to hear from the two stars this week. Leading up to its release date, Eurovision Song Contest will get a big publicity push on late night television.

Eurovision Song Contest’s stars are the must-see late night guests this week

Things start when Will Ferrell visits The Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday, June 23. Ferrell has always been on during his Late Late Show visits including a legendary “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts” performance.

The British Corden is very familiar with the Eurovision Song Contest. He will surely have a lot to say about the contest as a backdrop for a comedy and how Ferrell and company portray the event.

Rachel McAdams then picks up the promotional duties. You can see the actress on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday, June 25.

Eurovision is McAdams’ second consecutive comedy following 2018’s Game Night. The Netflix movie also reunites McAdams with Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin where Ferrell had an uncredited role.

Expect Seth Meyers to ask McAdams what appealed to her about Eurovision and her familiarity with the contest. And as Ferrell’s Saturday Night Live classmate, Meyers knows what it is like to work side-by-side with the comedy icon. McAdams may share her own experience while Meyers also highlights her talent for comedy.

Pierce Brosnan plays Will Ferrell’s father in the movie. You can see Brosnan interviewed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday, June 26. Brosnan has had a long, interesting career. Playing the father of an Icelandic singer in a Will Ferrell comedy is just another chapter for the former James Bond actor.
