Here’s what to watch for tonight on Real Time with Bill Maher.

There has never been a bad time to hear from Bill Maher. And once again, the comedian will have plenty of things to discuss as season 18 of Real Time with Bill Maher continues.

Like every other late night television show, Real Time has been fixated on the novel coronavirus pandemic, its political ramifications, and its impact on day-to-day life. Maher has shared his thoughts on everything from the media coverage to the environmental causes of the global health crisis.

Things have only escalated since Real Time last aired. The U.S. death toll hit 100,000 even as states begin to reopen. Maher should have something to say about the expectations vs. reality of life this summer.

Outside of the pandemic, there is even more to cover. The death of George Floyd and subsequent riots in Minneapolis, President Donald Trump’s feud with Twitter, and more are likely to be on the table for Maher.

As always Real Time with Bill Maher will be assisted by an eclectic mix of guests.

Maher’s monologues have been making headlines since the show went remote. But given the diversity of his guest lineup, every episode has the chance for a memorable exchange between host and guest. Keep reading for a break down of tonight’s interview guests and panel members.

Tom Colicchio will be making his third appearance on Real Time. The celebrity chef is well-known for his role as host of Top Chef on Bravo.

Colicchio is also a founder of the Independent Restaurant Coalition formed to help restaurants affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Expect Maher and Colicchio to discuss the impact on restaurant owners and staff members as well as how the public can support these independent businesses.

After not appearing on Real Time with Bill Maher for five years, Jay Leno is back for the second time this season. The late night television legend sits down for another interview after appearing on the April 24 show.

Leno is the host of Jay Leno’s Garage on CNBC. New episodes of the show are airing Wednesday nights at 10:00 PM ET. Fans should expect Leno to plug the show as well as share his thoughts on the current state of affairs

like he did last time:

Soledad O’Brien will be on tonight’s panel. It will mark the journalist’s third time on Real Time with Bill Maher.

O’Brien anchors Matter of Fact with Soledad O’Brien on Sunday mornings, is a contributor to HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, and hosts the true-crime podcast“Murder on the Towpath.”

On Twitter, O’Brien has been vocal about the death of George Floyd along with the riots and protests that followed. Real Time audiences will likely see her go into the topic more with Bill Maher with particular attention given to the response by the media and the federal government.

The other member of tonight’s virtual panel is a fellow returning guest. Ian Bremmer will be on the show for the second time this season.

Bremmer is a political scientists with expertise in foreign affairs. He is the founder of the consulting and research firm Eurasia Group, specializing in assessing political risk.

He can provide insight into U.S. foreign relations during the pandemic and what could come next. It is also likely that he will have something to say about President Trump’s decision to sever all ties between the U.S. and the World Health Organization.
