Should Saturday Night Live fans expect to see a brand new episode tonight on NBC?
It is Saturday and that means we’ve reached the end of another week. Whether we are one week closer to normal or not depends on who you ask. Saturday Night Live has been doing its part to make things feel as normal as possible.
Saturday Night Live at Home has aired three times now. The remote episodes have been an impressive accomplishment in terms of production and creativity. The sketches may not have been as on point compared to a regular week in Studio 8H. Still, fans who have tuned in have been treated to some entertaining material.
So what is the plan for tonight? Will it be another new Saturday Night Live at Home? Or will the SNL cast take a break from Zoom?
There will not be a new Saturday Night Live at Home tonight. In fact, there won’t be a new one anytime soon. In case you forgot, last week served as the finale of season 45.
That means that SNL fans will have to wait until Sept. to see a brand new episode. Hopefully one filmed in front of a studio audience in New York City.
Instead, NBC will re-air the April 11 Saturday Night Live at Home episode. That was SNL’s first attempt at a remote episode and featured an inspirational monologue from Tom Hanks.
