Should Saturday Night Live fans expect to see a brand new episode tonight on NBC?

Whether you know it or not, you’ve reached the end of the week. Yes, it is Saturday and yes, that means late night fans typically turn to Saturday Night Live to close out the week.

You can be forgiven for losing track of time while social distancing and quarantining. The pandemic has completely upended day-to-day life no matter how desperate we all are to return to normal.

Things got a little closer to normal last week with the return of Saturday Night Live to television. The “at-home” edition of the show featured pre-recorded sketches performed by cast members in their homes.

It wasn’t exactly the funniest show SNL has made in recent memory. But it was a first of its kind episode and something that the general audience desperately needed. Including Tom Hanks’ monologue, the show attempted to put viewers at ease while providing an escape, a distraction, and entertainment.

So what about tonight? Will SNL be back with another at-home episode or not? The answer is no, there will not be a new show tonight. Instead, NBC will re-air the Feb. 29 episode hosted by John Mulaney with musical guest David Byrne.
