Should Real Time with Bill Maher fans expect to see a brand new episode tonight on HBO?

Another week has come to an end. For late night television fans, that typically means tuning in to Real Time with Bill Maher.

Social distancing and quarantining only kept production of late night shows delays for so long before they made a return. Programs like The Tonight ShowThe Late Show, and The Daily Show have figured out how to work from the host’s homes and keep audiences entertained.

Real Time with Bill Maher joined that list last week. Bill Maher broadcast from his backyard in Los Angeles and conducted virtual interviews, including one with Senator Bernie Sanders.

Maher will be back at it tonight. There will be a brand new remote episode of Real Time. Here’s a breakdown of the guest lineup. Given the nature of the show, don’t expect the traditional format.

Al Gore

Former Vice President Al Gore will be interviewed by Maher. It will mark his third appearance on Real Time.

There really isn’t a topic in the news right now that Gore couldn’t discuss. The government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the election, and more may all be on the table.

But it is still most likely that Gore and Maher examine President Donald Trump’s approach to the pandemic. Recently, Gore expressed strong opinions on the issue and should expand on them during this interview.

Bill de Blasio

Another politician returns to Real Time tonight. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will also check in with Maher.

New York City is something of an epicenter for the novel coronavirus in the U.S. On Real Time, fans should expect de Blasio to provide an update on how the city is handling the pandemic as well as how resource supplies compare to NYC’s needs.

Ian Bremmer

Political scientist Ian Bremmer will make his eighth Real Time visit. Audiences last saw him on the show in Nov. 2019.

Bremmer specializes in U.S. foreign policy and political risk, two topics that are extremely relevant right now. He can speak to U.S. relations with China, Russia, and other nations during the pandemic and both the long- and short-term effects.

Nikki Glaser

There will be one guest making her Real Time debut. Comedian Nikki Glaser is also set to chat with Maher.

Glaser has been performing stand-up since 2002 and has appeared in a number of television series and in movies. While her comedy tour was postponed due to the pandemic, she has been sharing her thoughts via Twitter. Audiences could use laughs now more than ever and Maher always enjoys having a fellow comedian on the show.
