What should Saturday Night Live fans expect to see tonight on NBC?

Quarantine life has made it a little harder for some to tell the day of the week. Normally, the hype for Saturday Night Live would be enough for a late-night television fan to know but it hasn’t been that easy recently.

Social distancing guidelines due to COVID-19 have been extended through the end of the month. Despite the ban on large group gatherings, late night television has found creative solutions to delivering its content to fans.

Shows like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers have put together at-home editions that have become popular among fans. And just last night, HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher ended its hiatus with a show filmed remotely.

So what about Saturday Night Live? The show faces a set of challenges that go beyond just how to deliver a monologue and interview a celebrity guest.

For those reasons, there will not be a new episode of SNL tonight. The show remains on an indefinite hiatus during the novel coronavirus pandemic. Instead, NBC will repair the Feb. 8 episode hosted by RuPaul with Justin Bieber as the musical guest.

If you’re desperate for any new content from Saturday Night Live then you do have some options. The show’s official Instagram page (@nbcsnl) has been occasionally been going live with cast members and guests. It has also been sharing clips made by the cast at home:

On Instagram, you will be able to find the profiles of cast members like Melissa Villasenor, Chloe Fineman, and others that are keeping followers entertained. You can also watch some of your favorite past sketches and montages put together by Saturday Night Live on YouTube.

For something different, you can always check out Netflix. We’ve put together this guide of five sketch comedy shows that SNL fans should enjoy, including I Think You Should Leave and w/Bob & David.
