Last Night On makes its picks for five hosts we want to see on Saturday Night Live in 2020.

Saturday Night Live is halfway through season 45 but it has already been a memorable one. Cameos, homecomings, and impressive musical performances have all helped this season shine. So how can it be topped in 2020?

It is safe to say that no host who comes in over the final 11 episodes of the season will overshadow Eddie Murphy. The Dec. 21 episode set multiple records for Saturday Night Live and added on to Murphy’s legacy as one of SNL’s all-time greats.

But other hosts have turned in memorable performances, too. Will Ferrell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Scarlett Johansson have all done excellent work, helping usher in season 45 and close out 2019.

Saturday Night Live‘s 2020 will be off to a good start as well. Marriage Story and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker star Adam Driver is set to return as host on Jan. 25. Halsey, who also hosted last season, will be the musical guest.

After Driver, there will be spots for 10 more hosts before the season wraps up and Studio 8H clears out for summer vacation. With plenty of blockbuster movies, fan-favorite television shows, and music releases scheduled for the first half of 2020, there is no shortage of options for Saturday Night Live.

So here now are Last Night On’s picks for five stars that we want to see host Saturday Night Live this season. Be sure to let us know what you think and offer your picks in the comment section!
