Amy Poehler

Any television show or podcast doesn’t need a reason to have Amy Poehler as a guest. As one of the funniest people on the planet, she makes everything she’s in better. Nobody knows that better than Conan O’Brien.

It was back in the late 1990s on Late Night with Conan O’Brien that O’Brien first started to take notice of Amy Poehler. She appeared in a handful of sketches on the show as the little sister of Late Night co-host Andy Richter. Poehler would go on to appear in more pieces for O’Brien alongside her fellow Upright Citizens Brigade members like Matt Walsh, Matt Besser, and Ian Roberts.

Everyone knows what happened with Poehler’s career after that. She was a breakout star on Saturday Night LIve, launched a successful movie career, led one of the best sitcoms of all-time in Parks and Rec, and co-hosted the Golden Globes three times with friend Tina Fey.

Poehler could join Fey once again and add “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” guest to her resume. O’Brien and Poehler could share stories from those Late Night appearances, talk Saturday Night Live, and just about anything else that could come up when two of the funniest people in the world sit down to talk.
