Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend continues to dominate the podcast world and Last Night On has some ideas on who should be interviewed next.

It’s hard to argue that anyone in late night had a better 2019 than Conan O’Brien. Conan remains the most unique show in the genre, Team Coco sponsored stand-up shows across the country, and O’Brien’s travel specials were must-see television. And then there is the podcast phenomenon that is “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend.”

2019 gave fans the second half of season one and a handful of season two episodes from the podcast. O’Brien, along with co-host Sona Movsesian and producer Matt Gourley, helped turn “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” into one of the most successful and popular comedy podcasts in a crowded market. It’s not surprising that O’Brien has reportedly extended his plans for the podcast into the foreseeable future.

The success of the podcast is also due in large part to the guest lineup. The staff at Team Coco have booked the type of popular, engaging, and interesting celebrities that other podcasts or television shows could only hope to get over years and years. “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” gets them in a matter of weeks.

Names like Adam Sandler, Michelle Obama, David Letterman, and John Mulaney have been featured on the podcast. Season one featured 39 different guests over 36 episodes. We are only 12 episodes in to season two, meaning a lot more guests are on the way in 2020.

So with that in mind, Last Night On has put together a list of five people we want to see on “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” in 2020. Let us know what you think of the picks and share your own wishes for 2020 in the comment section!
