Watch David Harbour call the Duffer Brothers looking for Stranger Things spoilers
By Matt Moore
Stranger Things star David Harbour is like any other fan and wants to know what’s next on the Netflix series.
It has become increasingly more difficult to avoid spoilers for any television show or movies. But that also means it’s easier than ever to know what will happen next. Unless you’re David Harbour that is. Warning, Stranger Things spoilers ahead.
Stranger Things released season three on Netflix this past summer. It was another season of madness for the residents of Hawkins and we even saw the start of things getting weird outside of Indiana.
Fans were also left with a cliffhanger regarding the fate of one Jim Hopper played by David Harbour. It certainly didn’t look good for Hopper as Eleven, Joyce and everyone else mourned his death and tried to move on with life. But a post credits scene gave hope that Hopper somehow survived the explosion that closed the portal to the Upside Down.
So who knows what happened to Hopper and if he will show up in Stranger Things season four? The only answer is the Duffer brothers, the creators of the Netflix series. On Late Night with Seth Meyers, Harbour went straight to the source to find out what the deal is with Jim Hopper.
It is a nice little stunt to build suspense over Hopper’s fate. This is coming just a few days after Netflix released its first teaser for season four of Netflix. And with production starting up, Harbour must know whether or not he’ll be shooting the show.
Still, he’s not looking very Hopper-esque at the moment. Then again, after spending some time in Russian prison he probably may have a bit of a different look when/if he shows up to start season four. The post-credit scenes all but guaranteed Harbour will be back. But maybe the bigger twist would be leaving him dead and gone. We’ll have to wait and see.
Harbour goes on to talk about working with his younger castmates like Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Millie Bobby Brown. The Stranger Things kids have become a hit on late night shows themselves. And it’s clear that Harbour (kind of) enjoys working with them and hopefully will get to do so for a fourth season.
There is no release date announced yet for season four of Stranger Things. You can see David Harbour host Saturday Night Live this week where it wouldn’t be a surprise if some of his Stranger Things co-stars popped up. Keep checking Last Night On for updates and highlights.
