Is Real Time with Bill Maher taking a Labor Day break like most of the country or was the show hard at work this week?

In a matter of days, we will have reached the unofficial end of summer. Once Labor Day hits, many people consider summer to be over and the fall season as having arrived. It can mean one last chance for a break or vacation, whether you’re a student, have a job, or it’s Real Time with Bill Maher.

We saw that basically the entire lineup of late night shows took the previous week off from new shows. The fall is an important time in the world of television so it makes sense that a number of programs took the opportunity for one more round of rest and relaxation before focusing on the coming months.

Real Time with Bill Maher has always kept its own schedule independent of other late night shows like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon or The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Maher has his own vacation routine that can leave fans guessing when it comes to expectations for a new episode.

If you guessed that Real Time would be taking time off for Labor Day, then you are correct. No new episode airs this week as Maher and company took time off from covering everything from President Trump’s White House to the gun control debate.

Fans who wanted to hear from Maher after the week of news will have to wait another seven days before Real Time returns to HBO. In the meantime, you can revisit clips on YouTube or continue to hear from Maher directly via his Twitter feed.

Don’t be surprised to see other late night shows following Real Time with Bill Maher‘s example and taking time off for Labor Day. Things should be back to regularly scheduled programming on Tuesday. Keep checking Last Night On for updates!
