Casey Affleck on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Tune in to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday July 23 to see Jimmy Kimmel interview one of his favorite guests. Oscar winner Casey Affleck will be the lead guest.
Affleck has managed to steer clear of the Jimmy Kimmel-Matt Damon-Ben Affleck triangle of feuds and friendship. But that doesn’t mean that Kimmel doesn’t seem any less interested in talking with the younger Affleck whenever he stops by the show.
The two have shown some pretty good chemistry in the past although it has bordered on more on teasing and playful insults than anything. Affleck doesn’t appear to love the whole interview and promotion process but Kimmel manages to bring out more of the actor’s personality than other late night hosts.
Affleck will be talking about his movie Light of My Life. Affleck wrote and directed the movie and is also the star. The movie, which co-stars Elisabeth Moss and Anna Pniowsky, premiered at the Berlin Film Festival back in February and hits theaters on August 2.
Affleck plays a father attempting to protect his daughter a decade after a pandemic eliminated half of the world’s population. The dystopian film has received some positive attention from critics and following his Oscar win for Manchester-by-the-Sea, Affleck has become a must-see performer.
